Known as Zacatlan de la Manzanas, literally translates to Zacatlan of the Apples and is known as one of the Pueblos Magicos which is an iniitiave to promote a series of towns around the country that offer visitors cultural richness, historical relevance, cuisine, arts, crafts and great hospitality. The town is in the mountains of central Mexico and is in the provence of Puebla. Outside of the city there is a significant indigenous population who still dress and live the same for hundreds of years.
Zacatlan is known for one of the largest mosiac walls in the world at over 6,000 feel long and 12 to 15 feet high. It is home to two of the worlds pre-eminent molumental clock factories that have been in business since 1918.
